Description
Giuseppe Macciocu Snc is an artisanal salt manufacturer and distributor based in Sassari, Italy, that has been operating since 1967. The company specializes in the transformation and enrichment of premium raw sea salt sourced from the natural salt pans of Sardinia, located within a protected natural reserve recognized by the Ramsar Convention. Utilizing traditional methods without the use of chemicals or anti-caking agents, the company produces a wide range of high-quality salt products tailored for food, industrial, and maintenance applications.
For the food and beverage sector, Giuseppe Macciocu Snc offers natural sea salt, iodized salt (Iodin), unrefined whole salt rich in trace elements, and gourmet aromatic selections blended with organic herbs and spices. Their industrial division provides specialized salt for water softening, swimming pools, construction, textiles, and chemical processing. Additionally, they supply road de-icing salt for winter maintenance.
Operating with a dedicated team of approximately 5 to 10 employees, the company maintains a factory where they process salt into all granular sizes according to client specifications. Their versatile packaging capabilities range from retail-ready jars, salt shakers, and pouches to bulk formats including sacks and big bags. As a family-rooted enterprise, they emphasize the organoleptic qualities of Sardinian salt, serving as a reliable partner for both artisanal food producers and large-scale industrial clients.
